The Ambassador of China in Malta Jiang Jiang and the Commercial Counsellor Zhou Shijie visited D3 Power Generation Company Limited to debrief the oil-to-gas conversion project and extended his regards to the staff on July 4, 2017, accompanied by Sheng Baojie, CEO of SEP (Malta) Holding Ltd. (SEPM).
On the project site, the Ambassador Jiang Jiang listened carefully to the report made by Mr. Sheng on the progress of Phase II oil-to-gas project. Mr. Jiang appreciated highly the achievements of D3 and stated that the packaged energy investments made by SEPM had become a landmark of China-Malta cooperation in economic and trade areas and won wide appraisal and attention from Maltese people. The implementation of the projects was indispensable from the hard work of both Chinese and Maltese employees. He expected SEPM would continue to sum up experience to build an internationally excellent team featuring multi-ethnic and inter-cultural integration and win-win.
After hearing the report, Mr. Jiang and Mr. Zhou visited the oil-to-gas conversion project site, accompanied by Mr. Sheng, as well as Mr. Chen Zhichao, General Manager of D3 Power Generation Company Limited, and Ismail D'Amato, General Manager of International Energy Service Center Limited (IESC), to extend regards to the workers of the EPC Contractor, Wärtsilä subcontractors, warehouse of the power plant, maintenance workshop of IESC, and the central control room.
Mr. Jiang and Mr. Zhou acknowledged the HSE management of D3 and hoped the oil-to-gas conversion project could still follow the “Safety First” guideline after completion to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
Other responsible persons of the Commercial Counselors Office, SEPM, SEP Engineering Co., Ltd. and other agencies participated in the above activities.
